Sacharomyces boulardii
Saccharomyces boulardii is a non-pathogenic yeast which is a type of fungus. S. boulardii first came from lychee fruit in Indochina in the 1950s. The French started using it to help treat diahrea. Now it is sold in capsules to help with diahrea, it still isn't extremely popular, i have never heard of Saccharomyces boulardii in my life. Therefore, it wouldnt be that bad if we didn't have it because there are other ways to treat diahrea. S. boulardii reproduces asexually, by budding and it is usually found in humans, birds and other mammals.
